Chirping
Hi guys. Me and the wife are new to chicks and new to forums so please be patient. And I do apologise if this has been mentioned elsewhere before.
We bought 10 buff Orpington chicks yesterday one of which died overnight I'm assuming it was the runt as it was very small.
we got them from a home Hatcher who was recommended to us by a friend. When we collected them they were all chirping and bouncy and apparently 5 days old.
today I have noticed one chick which looks like it may be gasping for air. Lifting its beak stretching its neck. And I also think I found a long white worm in one of their poops this afternoon.
my question is, how young can you worm a chick and what's best to use. the chicks are inside the house in a cardboard box with pine shavings. And a heat lamp.
they have access to water and crumb at all times.
Thanks in advance for any help.
