My son has an auto immune disorder and his immunologist that is located in another state called and said that he needs to see him tomorrow morning. I will leave here tonight, and be home tomorrow night. The chicks are already on day 22, but no rocking, peeping.. nothing. How bad will it be to leave them? I have a neighbor checking them every couple of hours to watch the temp if they do start to hatch. Is there anything else I can do?

Chicks after hatching don't need to be feed or watered for about 2 to 3 days, they'll be ok with the yolk sacs (internally).

Besides, eggs hatch better if not disturbed anyway.

You should be able to go on with no worries, even though I know you will. They should be ok.
