I finished my coop and run a couple of weeks ago and put my new baby chicks in it. They were 3 weeks old at the time and they're now 5 weeks. The brahmas I bought are 6 weeks and fully feathered. After being in their coop for two weeks I figured they'd know where to come "home" to so I let them out into their run. They didn't go exploring the first day but on the second day they finally made it out and came back in the evening like I had hoped. On the 3rd day and every day since... they WAIT on that pop door to open so they can rush outside. They're loving it. I'll wait until they are nearly full grown before I let them out of the run to free range. I want to make absolutely certain that they'll make it back in for the night. I'll have to get pics soon. I'm just really pleased and excited that they are enjoying their run.
