Not all pairings result in sex linked chicks, who were the parents to these guys? : D
I guess they were from Rhode Island Red rooster and Barred Plymouth Rock hen? Is it possible? Didn't ask any information when bought them, now try to understand their breed and gender

If you got them at a feed store, they came from a hatchery like Dunlap or Cackle (or one of many others, assuming you're in the US of course. If they came off a "farm" or from someone's backyard...they could be practically anything.

Not all black chicks have white dots...and not all breeds have sex linked colorings as chicks. Female Plymouth Barred Rocks do have a white spot on top of their heads though. My first flock was a PBR and 2 SLW and I spent many weeks convinced that my PBR was a rooster because she acted like a rooster! She was my best and first to lay...including one laid directly above my head while trying to get her out of a meshed in area during a windstorm.

yea: pic of my girls when they were around 1 week old (10 years ago). The black one was a Plymouth Barred Rock, all 3 were hens.
