I also don't know how an EE is considered a rare breed, but I thought a surprise set of chicks would be fun

The other 'rare breeds' I got are a naked neck and a mystery chick. Also got three assorted bantam chicks and not sure what they are. They came very healthy and chirping away. I'll post pics of the rest tonight

I have seen EEs listed under the rare breed section for a couple of the hatcheries. Maybe it's because of the green tinted eggs.

She/he is very cute!! It's so hard not to want to squeeze them when they are that cute!

She is so cute. I ordered 7 chicks from MPC and they are now a week and a half old. I got 3 EE and one of them looks the same as yours. We thought she was going to stay brown, she now has blue and all different colors comming in. Her cheecks were so fluffy they covered her eyes. She would be walking then all of a sudden jump away and look around.I would pic her up and pet her face to get her feathers to lay down a bit.
