Chicks arriving tomorrow.....can't wait!!!! **Brooder pics added**

Any last minute advice? I have their brooder all set up, temps seem to be ok. As soon as I figure out how to upload some pics I will. I actually set the brooder up inside of my horse trailer. It is safe, draft free & 100% predator proof!

I am pacing....I have never taken care of chicks before. I think I was out there 10 times today monitoring the temperature & they are not even here yet, lol.

Your brooder is great. I hope you have a blast when you get those new babies!

This is a picture of my brooder. Certainly nothing fancy, but it seems to work really well. Tomorrow I plan to cut out a large portion of the plastic lid and insert wire mesh. That way they can't escape and I will know they are safe and sound.

My only question is, is your light clamped to something or hanging? It looks like it's clamped, but then again I see what looks like a yellow rope attached?

haha! Nice horse trailer!!! My brooder is in my tack room! I too am waiting for my chicks to come in, where did you get yours from?

NattiFan - I have the clamp secured with bailing twine.

Celtic Hill - I ordered them from Healthy Chicks & More. Customer service wise they have been pretty good so far. I talked to them late last week & they said that they do ship on Sundays & since the chicks are coming from OH that they should be arriving the next day (I am in PA).

Chesie - Cute chicks! What kind did you get? Are they in the house? My husband would not let me keep them in the house. Probably a good thing since I have a house cat that us very good at opening doors.

Today should be the day!!!!!!!!!!!
