I have 2 Barred Plymouth Rocks and 1 Ameraucana. Yes they are in the house, actually outside my daughter's bedroom. My husband was worried about the smell, but he has realized that there is no smell whatsoever, even if you're sitting with your nose in the brooder. I clean it everyday and it seems to work pretty well. The container actually has handles that latch to securely close it. I plan on on cutting out the center of the lid and inserting wire. This way they won't be able to get out and the brooder light will still work to keep them warm. I am new to this, so I am learning as I go. So far, so good!
