Chicks being shipped?

We ordered from Murray McMurrary and it’s out first time having chicks shipped. They were packed and sent monday and I they are still not at my post office (Wednesday). Just trying to prepare myself what’s the odds I lose them all? There’s 27 in the order of it matters

I doubt all of the chicks will arrive dead. You should read their policy on dead chicks.

I already did. They will refund or replace but I’m afraid to have a second batch shipped if this turns out poorly.

hmmm. You are taking a small risk. What breeds are you getting? Then I can probably tell pop about how many will die.

27 huddling together will probably stay warm. You may not loose any. Who knows though.

They will be thirsty and hungry. Give them some electrolytes before giving feed.

I agree fully. I'd say none will die. (gosh why didn't I think of that!)

What happened with your chicks? Ours were shipped Mon and arrive on Thur, 2 DOA and lost 7 more within 24 hours. I'm sad for what the birds went thru. Our postal service in the past has always handled our chick orders really well. This time they really dropped the ball and I'm very disappointed. Not sure I will have chicks shipped again unless they straighten out the mess that the USPS has become.
