chicks came early!

all healthy, happy and alert! thanks to everyone who reassured me in my other thread. i ordered 34, salmon faverolles, splash ameraucanas, speckled sussex, dominiques, black and white silkies, mille fleur d’uccles, buff laced polish, and two light brahma roos. i didn’t do a full count and breed identification because i was so eager to get them in the brooder, but looking over it looks like everyones accounted for and they might’ve sent an extra speckled sussex and dominique.

Extras are probably roos in my experience.

I've never ordered a male on purpose and so far I've gotten 2 roos from sexed pullets LOL. You'll probably have more than just those two light brahmas.

thanks for the kind responses everyone! i forgot to mention, i did actually order more than two roos, (one faverolle and one ameraucana) and the bantams are unsexed, so i expect a fair number of roos haha. i’m going to wait and see who gets along and who’s best at his duties and then rehome or cull (hoping none are ill tempered enough for that ) accordingly. i also have two mini coops in their own separate areas that are currently empty.
