chicks can't break membrane

    i am having a bad hatch, several chicks are trying to break membrane, but looks to thick, is there anything i can do to help??

    i gave mine a little help, just a little tear to get started when they had trouble. Im no expert, maybe someone else has a better opinion.

    If membrane looks too thick & seems to be taking too long and babies are weakening, (you can tell by their absence of chrping/peeping), I would slowly tear the membrane away and stop if and when I saw blood...if no fresh blood then proceed & help the babies out.
