Chicks chest bumping???

I have two chicks and recently saw that they have been chest bumping (I think) does this mean that they are both roosters?

Sometimes they all chest bump, boys and girls.

Both pullet and cockerel chicks play/mock fight. It's just part of their social structure.

I agree, it's nothing to worry about. Both male and female do it.

It’s how they’ll establish a pecking order, all chicks play fight.

It doesn't mean they're NOT both boys, but pullets will chest bump other pullets and even pullets and cockerels will do it. How old are they? Any pictures?

I watched two of my 9 month olds do this yesterday. Funniest part was that it was a tiny old English bantam pullet and a huge EE cockrel. She is a feisty little thing and was the instigator of the 'battle'. It only had ruffled necks and jumping at each other. I wish I had been quick enough to video it.

I agree they are just establishing their pecking order. The first time I saw a chick dust bathing I thought it was convulsing. Good luck and have fun...
