Chicks coloring

I purchased some chicks from TSC a few weeks ago and they have feathered out with some interesting colors and patterns. I believe they are all EE but I was curious on thoughts of what breeds may have created such interesting colors. They are so different from my other EE in the flock.

They are probably Americanas and not EE's as unfortunately TSC is known to mix up the breeds

They ARE EEs. EEs are mutts, so its only normal to see variation. Its nearly impossible to guess the breeds in an EE, especially since hatchery EEs are often EE x EE.

Yup EEs! Since EEs are just a bunch of crosses, no EE is the same.

Well I guess I got my facts mixed up there LOL but don't they mix other breeds with Easter Eggers and they end up a little more...different?

I knew they were mixed but I was just curious with some of the coloring or patterns that maybe somebody recognized a potential breed they were mixed with.

Most hatcheries just mix EE x EE together.

I figured it wa worth a shot since they were sold as Wyandottes

I recognized pretty quickly the employee had no idea. I thought maybe the one had the potential for some wyandotte in her.
