I currently have 8 peafowl eggs and 8 Brahma eggs in my incubator. Five of the peachicks died around day 10 of incubation (but all the Brahmas are developing). What do you think the reason could be? Inbreeding, disease, something else? I don’t know anything about the parents (they are not my birds), but the eggs were fresh and had been handled gently before incubation.
Is peafowl harder to hatch than chickens, in your experience?

Temperature 37,6°C, humidity around 40%.

You know more than you let on, yes, inbreeding, disease, nutrition, perch bombs, disturbance while breeding, and on and on.

And yes to your other question, peafowl are very hard to incubate and to keep alive after they hatch. Large breeders are very happy if they get 50% hatch rate. We use 100* and 45% but your humidity settings may require some adjustment. The egg needs to lose approximately 15% of its total weight from start to finish.
