my guess is a rat or snake either way Id try some rat bait in a few bait stations some 2 inch PVC say 1 foot long with a t in the middle and secured to the ground keeps little hands etc out or you can buy rat bait stations... For a snake get some snake repelent and spray it around the coop and in the area mom sleeps see if that hepls...
