Chicks dont want to sleep on roost :s

Some chicks like to sleep separately. The chickens I have all have 4 sticks to lay on but just 2 of 6 chickens like to lay on them. one reason for the 3 chickens are because they are laying. You might have to lower it or just lay something comfortable on the ground for them.

i have 5, 2 week old's and i have one who tries to sleep standing up head down almost tucked under her wing then falls over. should i get a small parakeet ladder to put in the brooder to get them use to a roost?!?!? its super funny but i kinda feel bad!!!

I guess you just have to give them some time

I have 4 and 5 month olds that have three different roosts to choose from at varying heights. They choose to sleep on the angle braces all cramped in the bottom corner, hopping back to the top position as they get pushed out of the bottom, and then the wyandottes sleep in the roof rafters, and my two roosters fight over the feed can

No matter how many times I move them to their roosts, I can here them thumping to the ground and fighting over the favorite spots.
Six of my chickens started roosting at 16 weeks and the younger ones stayed on the wood shavings for several weeks longer. I think chickens
will eventually roost as they mature. So relax, they're chickens.....
