Chicks dropping like flies

this looks like the texture of intestinal shedding but does anyone else think it could be coccidiosis?

That first one does look bloody but have they been exposed to soil? They get cocci from a high dose or strain of cocci in the soil that they are not immune too. You can give gradual immunity by placing small amounts of soil into the brooder. Little at a time. Has these chicks been outside on a play trip? If yes I would consider treating them with corid. If they haven't been exposed to soil yet I doubt it's cocci. I do know temperature while incubation is going is important and can have a effect on the hatched chicks wellness. That's the only other thing I can think of. I do know from experience that silkies can be less than hardy sometimes and it depends on the parent flock for good strong genetics. I hope this helps some and I'm so sorry your going through this

I think you're right. It doesn't hurt to treat them with Corid anyway, just stop the Poultry Cell while they're on it. But if none of the rest are looking sick, then I'd hang on for a bit.

Usually, coccidiosis makes them lethargic. They'll stand around with their wings out a little bit and head down.
