So I have been keeping 1 month old chicks in a bathroom and 1 of my family members left the toilet seat open and 1 of the chicks got out of the brooder and somehow drowned in the toilet
The brooder walls are 3 feet tall

Please learn from my mistakes and make sure the toilet seat is always close if your have chicks in your bathroom

Poor babies! chicks can easily jump those walls if they try. mine would jump on top of their waterer and escape. we made a frame that fit over the brooder and then covered it in chicken wire so they couldn't escape. maybe consider making a lid for your brooder that you can still easily lift to access them.

That's good. I always have my chicks/ducklings in my garage (it is heated) with a little heat lamp. it's never good when chicks have access to water when they're that young. (Other than drinking water of course)

That's terrible ...so sorry!
How old are chicks?
Someone once said, chicks are good at committing suicide.

I had a chick drown in a water bucket once. Now I'm paranoid about open water sources. Sorry you experienced it. :( My kitties used to fall in the toilet so we always keep the lid down.
