Usually it takes longer because your temps were too low. If you found a live chick today, leave the eggs along and give it another day or two. The chick you found alive, did it survive?

Don't feel bad, mine are due today..and so far no signs of anything. I'm trying to remain hopeful but I don't see any eggs rocking or anything that looks positive....may have to try again. Hope something happens for you!:

Mine were due Tuesday too. I have 6 in the bator. Saw some rocking in one Tuesday night. Last night heard some chirping and 2 different ones were rocking. Today nothing! I'm getting worried. The only thing giving me hope today is that my cat is still watching the bator. Maybe he can sense they are still alive.

I had 4 due yest.2 hatched a day early the other 2 had pipped.I was determined to leave them alone.Well after a day the 2 chicks were dry and I used my led light to try see what progress the other 2 had done thru the lid.Isaw the one with lot's of shell off and hours and it still hadn't got out so I took the lid off it was drying out and was stuck and the other one had done died:(.I Dunno I had good humidity and everything too.I didnt save the one the membrane was a bit stuck and the poor chick is minus a feather or too on it's back even with a moist paper towel it was like glue.I think maybe start misting a little water in hatch stage it's been year's since I have had to hatch in LG.But duck and goose never had trouble but even misted them daily in Sportsman so..Got some egg's like 4 due to go to hatch 10th gonna try a little misting in air holes this time.I don't have fan in mine so dont know why they still stick:/.But got another 3 bantam columbian wyandotte's they seem to be doing ok.

I feel your pain, I am currently having a late hatch as well, got one pipped, but no progress at all - it's horrible waiting! Especially when they are already late and you are worried, I think I prefer an early hatch over a late one for sure..... Hope the rest hatch and thrive for you.....

Hang in there and do not give up yet. I have some that were due to hatch today but mine have been hatching up to 3 days late. The GOOD news is that you had one alive so you know they are fertile and may still hatch.

Sending good vibes your way!

Wow....lots of people in the same boat as me.

My hatch day was yesterday and still nothing tonight. I went out and candled a few minutes ago (almost lost a hand to the broody hen) and saw that the eggs were mostly dark which I assume is a good thing. This is my first time hatching and I am so excited.
I guess it's true what they say...a watched pot never boils. Good look to all of you waiting along with me. I hope we all have chicks soon.
