Wow! The chick that started zipping early this afternoon is still not out, but making slow progress. Another one pipped about 6 pm and has caught up. Then about 11 pm we got another pip. Still have 2 more that haven't done anything yet.

The chick that hatched around 2 pm finally dried out in the brooder and looks all fuzzy. It is sooooo sweet!!! My husband put his hand in the brooder and it climbed up in his hand and went to sleep. SWEET! I thought the 6 little fuzzy butts from the feed store were cute and special...this one is even more so! I know this is going to be one spoiled chick.

Now I have 1 chick in the brooder in my master bathroom. 6 3-4 week olds in my other bathroom in a brooder and 4 eggs in the kitchen in the incubator. Oh yea- 8 in the coop. What happened?!?

this incubator is driving me crazy with worry only 1 chick none of the others are doing anything
