I have a Brinsea Mini Eco with 10 eggs. I keep reading about keeping high humidity, but also allowing ventilation. There doesn't seem to be a vent hole on the Mini Eco. Can someone let me know if there is something I should do to ensure the chicks have oxygen once they start hatching?

We're doing this as a classroom investigation...we're giving them to local chicken owners (myself included). On the regular candlings, everything seems to be progressing normally. I just want to ensure that hatching is also successful!

There is a vent hole but it is not very visible - on mine if you look at the back of the unit so you have the power cable socket facing you, there is a small downwards facing hole by the round black but with the red wires running through it. You can tell from my lingo that I am a real techie can't you? It's small but it is there.
I have chicks pipping as we speak ......

The mini eco booklet does'nt give a diagram of ( or say ) where the vent holes are located,it just tells the customer to keep them clean..anyone from Brinsea taking notes ?.Also what is that strange little plastic tower thing on the side of the dome ? .Help I got 12 bantam eggs in mine.Thank you.

Tony Cluck, I'm wondering the same thing. Two chicks have hatched out of it this morning for me, but my humidity is 80% and I didn't know where the vent holes were. I finally took the little rubber cap off the tower hoping to give some venting. I have no idea what I'm doing. I've taken the lid off a few times just to let some fresh air in there. So...

Waiting for the other one to hatch. Hoping all goes well.
