Hi everybody. We jumped on the wagon like a lot of you have and are incubating our first hatch of chickens! We borrowed the incubator from family who raises quail and researched it from start to end. We started with 37 eggs and after candleing at 10 weeks, had discarded 2. At lockdown all the eggs looked great but I was struggling with very high humidity. The temps here have been in the upper 80s and very rainy. My humidity is fluctuating between 80 and 90%! I was all excited for hatch day (tomorrow) so imagine my surprise when I came home today to 6 chicks already hatched! We're now up to 10 but I can't see any progress on the rest, but those 10 are really banging everything in there around. One of my chicks today though has bald spots! I'm not finding much on this in the web, so have any of you every had this in a chick? It's supposed to be an Easter egger mix.

@sunshine4jt if your chick is acting normally, I wouldn’t worry about it. I agree with @Susan Skylark. Adding to what she suggested, fluff could get rubbed off from sticking to a dried-out membrane. After it fluffs up, the bald spots will look a little less noticeable. Post photos in a few weeks to let us know whether the fluff filled in. Even if it doesn’t, you have an adorable chick. 🥰
