I have a friend that is losing a lot of chicks right out of the incubator. Incubator and brooding box are located in the house. Chicks hatch and then go into brooder box on paper. The box is a plastic tub. Chicks look fine and then a day or two later they begin to die. Breeders all look healthy.
Anyone have an idea as to what could be going on?

Maybe your friend can answer the questions asked previously, post some photos of the brooder and tell us more about what they are feeding?
What is the heat source for the chicks - brooder plate, heating pad, lamp? How hot is the plastic tote getting?
What symptoms do the chicks exhibit?
