Know this, I never tought them to follow me.
Yesterday, my six chicks that i'm integrating got seperated from the adults and tried to get back into the chick area with the younger chicks. They couldn't remember how to get back to their new home. So when it was last time to get in, and I didn't find them inside so I followed their sound. I found them by the fence by the younger chicks chirping their heads back. As soon as they saw me, they came running over (wich isn't usual for them). And all I had to do for them to follow is walk slowly back to the gate saying come on guys and they followed me. I was surprised. For one, we don't even use that to call the chickens, and two, we never taught any of our chickens to follow us.
