Chicks for sale in Southeast Tn.

Well my goodness, come on out! I get home from my parents around 10 in the morning and go back about 6 in the evening, so I am home most days, just not at night. Chick sales are very good, but I am hatching out constantly so I usually have some chicks, with the exception of the Welsummers, they are gone almost as soon as they come out of the hatcher! But there will be more, the girls are really laying well now, I got 22 eggs out of the Wellies pen yesterday.

just wanted to let everyone know - i got some welly chicks from poultrylady about 2 months ago. they are BEAUTIFUL, well developed, fast growing little buggers. i love them! we only got 9 - 2 ended up being roosters, 7 hens!

I am glad you are pleased with them! that is a great male to female ratio!

I PMed you, maybe more than once since it didnt want to go thru. Anyways. Contact me, I will take all or most of the Welsummers you have left and can pickup on Saturday.

Awesome to find a local source for so many breeds. I emailed you but thought I might as well ask here for future folks with this question...

are you in the NPIP program? Or did your parent stock originate from tested birds? You've gotten some wonderful compliments on your setup and care and I don't doubt you take VERY GOOD CARE of everyone, sorry to ask such invasive questions, I just need to be very careful.

I hope to pick up a couple dozen australorps asap!

No, I am not in the NPIP program, but I do keep a closed flock, no new birds coming in, (I have enough!) My Australorps came from 2 different sources and I have had them for a little over a year now, most came from my old order Mennonite neighbor, he has been breeding them for years, and he of course is not NPIP, as they want as little to do with the government as possible. The other hens, probably about 5, and a roo came from a local 4H kid last year. she raised them for the 4H show and didn't want them afterwards so I bought them from her, they are beautiful and very tame hens.

I'm sure you've answered this somewhere else, but where exactly are you located? This is also ridiculous and I feel silly asking but: Do you have a minimum order/sale? I need ONE MORE FREAKING BIRD, and finding someone to sell me _a_ chick(en) is harder than I expected. By a lot.
