Ok, I have some chicks that need to GO, I just have too many, and cute as they are, some are destined to be dinner if they don't find a new home where they can make someone happy. Here is as brief a list as I can compile:

5 Welsummer/Speckled Sussex mixed chicks 5 weeks old- $3 each

2 Silkie mixed chicks 5 weeks old- $3 each or $5 for both

1 Bantam Barred Cochin Cockerel 7 weeks old- $5

1 Bantam Partridge Cochin Cockerel 7 weeks old- $5 (comes from Show lines)

2 Cuckoo Marans mixed chicks- Hatched May 2nd

And in the incubator right now are Bantam Cochin and Bantam Cochin mixed eggs, and several more Cuckoo Marans mixed chicks. $2 each straight run if you buy them once they hatch. Hatch date for those is May 24th. I've been hatching out Blue Splash, Blue, Black, Barred, and Silkie/Cochin mixes.

my husband and I are interested in purchasing some chicks. we are new to this though, so not sure what to get. we want some pretty chickens (silly, I know) but also ones that lay big eggs. are they a certain kind that always have double yolks? what info can you give me?
