Chicks FREAKING OUT at being in coop for the first time

Absolutely! I plan on meticulous photojournalism. If it turns out well, maybe I'll post a page here. There aren't a lot of coops in the coops section, that I've seen, built into existing barns. Ours was built in the late 1800s by a crazy Russian carriage maker, and it is very special. Glad to be doing something "farmy"with it, at last.

Today it started to rain while I was out sitting in the grass setting up 2x4s for the run. The girls were out walking around and eating in the pasture. When it started to rain my 2 light brahmas (5 weeks) didn't like it so they rain over to me for shelter. The 3 jersey giant girls just kept about their business. We had to really work hard to catch those 3. I figured the rain was about to pour and we should go ahead and put them to bed. I did turn a light on in there for them tonight. It's about 10 degrees colder and I don't think the Jersey Girls felt like cuddling...
