My chicks are about 2.5 months old, and I'm hearing an occasional "cluck" mixed in with the "cheep"s. I have 4 chicks, and don't know yet if they are girls or boys (I'll have to post pics in a bit). Is clucking a good sign of a girl, or do roosters cluck too? I haven't heard anything that sounds like a rooster's crow (yet). Thanks in advance - I'm new to this, but having fun raising the girls (I hope!).

Roos take awhile before they start crowing. And it's terribly funny:lol: Sometimes my older roos will sort-of "cluck", but I think give yours a chance. All will be revealed soon...

Yes, roosters cluck too. At 2.5 months my black orps totally cracked me up with the peep peeps coming from these giant birds.
