They are barnyard mix. I ordered them online. I wanted to get several different ones so I thought I would try them. They are suppose to be True Blue, Welsummer, Cream Legbar, Black Copper Maran, and Salmon Faverolle. I’m not real sure yet what some of our babies may be.

Oh my! I went to Rural King last week and they had chicks for $1 each....I wanted to buy every single one they had! 😂 I had a hard time walking out without any!!!

I’m not sure why. The lady told me they had just went on sale that morning. I thought sales had slowed down on chicks...maybe. I was back in there over the weekend and prices were back to $2.99 and up. I do know that the ones they had for $1 were assorted chicks not sex linked. That may have been one reason.
 
It can mean both, if the owner keep breeds in separate pens but happen to have eggs on hand from every breed to hatch or a mix flock of breeds in one pen and you get whatever chicken has eggs.
