So...I went to the Mothers Run today to do a check up on the food, water and the chickens and then when I got to snowballs chicks I noticed that they have got little 'bumps' on their heads and I don't know what it is and if it is okay to leave them alone?
I have added some pics, but they are not the best - SORRY

This white Roo chick has the biggest 'bump' of them all!

These are not all the chicks (that would have been too many photos) but the 'bumps' all look the same!
Can you guys tell me what you think or how it went if you have experienced this before! I really don't want to lose them because they are my favourite chicks!

The pics are a little blurry, but it could be fowl pox. Keep them quarantined if it is dry pox it should pass in 3-4 weeks. Wet pox is another story.

I will keep them quarantined! I think it is dry pox as some of my chicks have had it before and it went away! Thanks very much!

You are welcome. I hope your babies are better soon.

Yes luckily I see that one of the chicks has actually had it for quite a while and its scars are coming off! I feel kind of sorry for it 'cause it looks painful

!
In the future I will be more on the lookout for diseases!

Use black shoe polish smeer it over the bump to cover it it will dry it out in no time. My chickens had it years ago my gramma told me and it works they all got better.
