This year I’m using a brooder plate heater instead of a heat lamp. I love it so far. I angled it like some suggested where it’s higher in front and lower in back so that they can pick their amount of heat. They seem quite comfortable. But the best part is that come dark they go to sleep and are quiet. I think it can be troubling with a lightbulb on all night and day.
