Chicks in 3 days... Freaking out.

I used a Rubbermaid storage tote and that worked perfect for my 8 chicks.
I hung a red light above them and as they grew I moved it up and monitored the temp with a cheap thermometer I bought from the pet store.
hope this helps

Thanks helped a lot. Already got a giant box that is for watermelons. Can't wait for tomorrow!

haa haa so much for my bator being turned off!!! Stopped at the neighbors today to find out what they had for chickens I hear their Roo in the morning. And they have hatchery "arucanas" AKA Easter eggers their Roo is huge he's got to be two feet tall!!! And he is mean. So they want to hatch some and dispatch the nasty Roo. Soooo I now have 19 eggs to put in the bator to split between us when they hatch. They want four more hens. The eggs barely fit in a jumbo egg box. Let the eggcitement begin!!!

In May I ordered mine and expected them to come on a Monday but they ended up being early and came on Saturday and I had nothing set up! lol So kudos to you for being prepared!
