How old are these chicks?

A lot of people brood indoors; I do not, but I choose not to.

What you're not taking into account is it sounds like these chicks are well old enough to be outside, and by bringing them back in you're not allowing them to get used to being outdoors and to learn to be chickens. You acknowledge it makes you feel better, but it's not necessarily the best thing for the chickens.

They have been outside for a few weeks now. I only brooded them indoors for 4 weeks.
