Hi, I used a broodie Buff orph. to hatch some chicks, and today was their first outing ever. I'm letting nature take care of itself for the most part. I let her sit on them in the coop, she made a nest at ground level, and I 3 out of 6 eggs hatched. They stayed inside yesterday and the day before, but today was their first outing ever. And it is raining. I don't know if they should go ut in the rain, if the bab chicks could get to chilled, or if she'll know to bring them in or anything! Any advice?

She should cover them to warm and dry them, if she's going to be a good mama. If the weather is hot where you are, they may not be that cold.
