chicks keep tweeting and wont stop

I agree, they are probably not warm enough. Their brooder light should be to where they can get under it if they are cold and get away from it if they are too warm. What are you using for brooding them? In the house for small groups, we use those storage tubs from WalMart with a clamp light and heat lamp (or 75 watt bulb depending on the size of the tub) shining into one end from the top. They can get under it for warmth and get away when they want to. I put their water on the outer edge of the brooder light so it stays lukewarm to room temp but not cold. I put their feed away from the light so they can go to it to eat but have plenty of room to cuddle up and sleep nearer to the lighted end. When they get warm enough, they will be happy!

I agree with what seems to be the winning answer here. It sounds lie they're cold. Remember if they are brand new babies, they like the temp to be up in the 90's and each week you can drop the temp by about 5 degrees.

I have had some do that. Like they are lonely. I know they were warm enough and had plenty of food. Normally all the chicks would be asleep except one or two that would just tweet away. I think they were just lonely when everyone was sleeping.
