chicks killing each other

thats a good thing to know sourland, I was going to suggest seperating the weeker looking chicks from the big fattys, I only had 5 chicks so I didnt have that problem, I'm surprised they are still huddling at 10 weeks though, I guess its a big bad world out there and they just arent used to it.

Until they start roosting, chickens will do the "huddling" thing. Some breeds like silkies which can be reluctant at roosting will huddle their entire lives. It probably is fear of the big bad world.
