chicks knocking over water in brooder

After the first week I change them over to a nipple waterer - no more spills, mess or wet bedding odor. Highly recommend it - they catch on very quickly.

If they're too crowded, that can also cause problems with the water getting tipped over. With enough room, mine have been pretty good about not knocking it over. It never hurts to check your spacing.

Nipples or cups are the way to go. SO much easier and cleaner. Better for you and the chickens
