Yes, mine was more then splay leg because you could tell it looked almost like it wasn't attached but hanging there
Not sure if it got stood on by the bigger chicks or what. I know I had a lot of chicks in there hatching. I hope yours makes it ok and please let us know how everything goes. I would wait until it dries a bit too. They sure don't like it at first but they adjust to it.
We taped him/her up, and he/she can at least remain upright now. There's still a lot of hobbling going on but the chick is eating and drinking okay. He/she doesn't appear to be in any pain, so I don't think it's a slipped tendon... we'll see how the night goes.
