Chicks like to Huddle

From day one my chicks are attached at the hip. They eat and drink at the same time and they huddle together constantly. As far as I can tell it’s not temperature related huddling. Sometimes they are in the far corner, sometimes in the middle, sometimes directly under heat. There’s no panting or shivering. Definitely not in distress. I’ve never had any health issues. But I still worry about why they cuddle so much because I was trying to use that behavior to monitor temperature. Am I worrying over nothing? I just got a bunch of cuddlers?

They tend to cling to each other for protection and comfort. I don't use it to judge whether they're hot or cold.
