I started out with 8 chicks 4 barred rock, 2 cream crested legbar and 2 silkies. The silkies and one of the legbars died the first week (did not seem sick at all) another one of the barred rocks just died a week ago (was wheezing for a few days) 2 of the barred rocks are huge/fully feathered/healthy and outside full time. I am left with two 5 week old chicks in the brooder that look like they are 2-3 weeks old.The leg bar has ruffled feathers and the barred rock barely has any! They both eat and drink fine and I put them outside in a little pen during the warmer days. I clean the bedding every other day and put acv in the water...any ideas why they aren't growing?? Do the feathers on the legbar seem ruffled or is this normal looking?

I'm sorry to hear about the chickens you lost.

They do look stunted, I agree. I would try treating them with corid and feeding them some scrambled eggs daily. Once the corid treatment is over start feeding vitamins in the water as well. They may be genetically poor, but it could also be a disease, so keep the isolated until you know. Sometimes, feed stores sell old food that doesn't have proper vitamins in it anymore, which could be the problem.

I hope this helps. Best of luck!
