I purchased 30 jersey giant chicks one month ago. At the time, they were 4-7 days old, so now about 4-5 weeks old. I lost 5 of them in the first week mostly due to a cold snap (for their age).
Two of them are not thriving/growing. These pics are one week ago (ignore the time stamp) and I don't think they've grown. There is a bit of variation in size even among those that are thriving but these 2 are at least 1/3 the size of even the smallest of the others.

They are seperated now and living in the garage so they don't have to compete with their hatchmates. They are the size of maybe week olds. For the last few days, they seem to have a hard time opening their eyes even after I pick them up etc. The eyes are not crusty or anything. I dip my finger in water and carefully wipe over their eyes and then they will open them. For right now, they have one of their slightly larger siblings in with them after it had a minor leg injury.
Weather permiting, I have been putting them out on grass for a little while during the day. They seem to perk up then.
They are eating Flock Raiser now. They were on a medicated starter for about 2.5-3 weeks after I first got them. I did add some poultry vitamins/electrolytes to their water for a few days. Poops look normal.
Any ideas? I am wanting to put the one that was limping back in with the others but now I'm worried that there may be a problem.
