Chicks not using MHP

Let me start off by saying that I am a worry wart and will spazz over a feather being out of place.

I've got 5 chicks: 2 black sex link, silkie, a surprise chick from my hen (who decided she was done with it), and a d'uccle.
I started using the MHP method because I'm terrified of a fire and wasn't sleeping. I just started it a couple hours ago.
They really aren't using it however and when they're not running around, eating and pooping, they're snuggled up all together sleeping. Their legs don't feel too cold and I check them quite frequently and give them a little push back under. They're not peeping loudly either, just the typical little chit chat. The inside of the house is 76-80° because I myself struggle keeping warm due to health issues.

First time raising chicks inside with no lamp or mama hen.

Sounds like they're fine. Since the house is fairly warm, it shouldn't take a lot of extra heat to keep them warm enough.

Thank you! They are starting to go under it while the two older ones (b.s.l.) are sitting ontop of it.

I'd leave it available to them and let them use it if they need it, but sounds like they've decided that they don't.

Mine too! It's cute to see them all snuggled up on the heating pad just snoozing away.

I do! I changed the height of it so they could all sit on top easier. It's cute.
