More pictures of the female chicks at 5 weeks. The males have started to get a lot of black in the breast.

Nice pattern, I really like it, e+/eb with the pattern gene due to a e+, pg+/p+ vs eb/eb Pg/Pg cross(partridge)

Next year these go in the same pen as their father. Aim is to improve the type, to create e+/e+ pullets and to breed out the Pg gene. Hopefully that will result in more beautiful birds.

Then I would have proper crele birds. The salmon chest now still has some vague lacing, which it shouldn't have.
