Chicks or Rooster

Mine was somewhere round 14-16 weeks when it crowed.

Of the three roosters I had they all started crowing/making a weird squacking noise by three months. I am new to this as well but the three roos I had were very loud and unmistakable. My hens make sweet little noise unless they are being bothered. My roosters were crowing at all hours (Couple times at 3 am, oh how my neighbours must love me). I found people to buy the roos within a month on craigslist so I would wait and see if I were you.

Hi guys,
It was a roo. My black chicks of 6-7weeks !!!
Thanks to all for your suggestion .
Now I got 2 chicks of 18weeks old
One is a white leghorn and the other is Isa brown.
Since I got them they happy to relax in nest area of my coop, and they came out just to eat!! It's normal? And when I can introduce kitchen scraps? I try yesterday but they going more for chicks mix!!
