My 2 week old chicks are outgrowing their brooder already. My parents have 2 more stock tanks that we're going to borrow and split the chicks into 3 groups. What is the best way to split them up? By breed, gender (or supposed gender) or does it really matter? I'm getting the tanks on Wednesday, so I'll probably be splitting them up either Thursday or this weekend when DH is home to help...

Ooooh, that means all the trouble chicks will be their own gang in their own little mosh pit!

Troubled chicks just need a little understanding and some therapy.

Mine outgrew the birdcage brooder, so they moved up to a large dog crate today.
