Hello all I wanted to get some opinions.

I have three standard size chicks and three bantam chicks that are 6 weeks old now. We live in Mid Michigan and I was wondering when the little ones can start being introduced to our coop. We have introduced chicks to our current flock this past fall and they did just fine, but I'm worried about the cold? There is a lamp in the coop that provides some heat. Its in the low 30s- high 20s right now around here during the day and down into the single digits over night.

Thanks!

I'm not that far from you so our weather is the same. I wouldn't let them out until the temperatures are in the mid forties.

Thanks! I'll keep them in for a while then!

I'd miss them anyways!

I agree with Opa, wait awhile till they get a little older and the Michigan temps get where they are in the 40's constantly. We get such swings in temperature.
