Chicks Piling on top of each other. How to make them stop?

My chicks that are about 8 weeks old are piling on top of each other since I have moved them out side to their coop. I placed buckets in the corners but it hasn't stopped them. I don't have heat lights on them - I am in Florida and it has be very warm at night. I have lost a couple of chicks because I think they got suffocated. Should I put a heat light on them? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.
 
You might try a small nightlight, even if it's just one of those little battery push lights (if you don't have electricity out there). With them being 8 weeks old, it's most likely because they're afraid in their new surroundings, so a nightlight may make them feel more secure...
