So I went out to the coop this morning to find this liquidy nasty smelling poop all over the place...is this normal ?

The title is meant to be ‘chicken’ not chicks

That isn't a healthy chicken's poo. What are you feeding them? How old are they? Are they showing any other symptoms (lethargy, sneezing, eating changes, etc.)?

With cecal poop the darker the color the smellier they tend to be. But a cecal poop wouldn't be "all over" unless one stepped in it and then smeared it everywhere. If it looks like multiple dark cecal poops all at the same time that would be unusual.
