my two hens, Black sexlink, and buff orpington have both recently stopped pooping. We just recently removed a rooster from the clan and ever since than they have not been pooping regularly or at all. Any ideas on what this could be from? Heard of something like this before? Stress?

Thanks

not yet, I am noticing a bunch of feathers in the coop too. Are they stressed? or just not pooping as much, very confused.

Feather loss in the coop usually means one is starting a molt. Do they have shaded water in a couple of spots? I would confine them to a crate with both food and water for a day or overnight on an old towel or a puppy dad, where you could actually see if they are having droppings or watery poops. Since chickens go pretty much around the clock, not passing droppings would be a serious problem.

they have shaded water yes,i will create a couple more spots for the water and will clean the coop and put new pine shavings down tonight than will crate them up tonight and see if we get droppings. When the rooster was still around we were cleaning almost daily, now I put them in coop last night and there was maybe two or three new piles of poop.
Thanks
