chicks smell bad

One of my chicks just cracked open her shell, sorry i dont know the scientific term. Which is great except it smells awful... what should i do?
 
There is a smell when eggs are hatching. It's not pleasant. About the only thing you can do is open the windows and let some fresh air in. Sorry to hear about your chick. Sometimes that just happens and there isn't anything you could have done differently.
