Chicks sneeze within the first few minutes of being outside 1st time

Seems to me you don't have much choice but to ignore it, since there does not seem to be any other evidence of illness. Children often have allergies that they grow out of. Let's hope that is what this is. Dusty bedding does not seem to fit since it happens outdoors only. I see no reason to separate her. I would not let this stop me from giving them outdoor time, especially as old as they are.

I’m bringing this back- I just brought my flock out for the first extended time they are just about 3 weeks- mid 60’s and overcast. Having a great time running around and exploring- but tiny sneezes from all of them!

I found this thread because my 10 week olds just ventured out into their new run for the very first time today and there were lots of little sneezes. It stopped about 30 minutes later, but after my last flock was wiped out by all kinds of illness, I’m a little paranoid. As always, I’m grateful for this site and everyone’s past experiences helping to put my mind at ease.

My 5 week-old chicks are also doing this. Tiny sneezes from all of them, and it only happens outside with no other symptoms. I brought them all outside for the first time yesterday, and again today. They are on a hemp litter in their indoor starter coop. I’m glad I found this thread, and that I’m not the only chick mom who has experienced this! I’m thinking it’s most likely pollen. There’s a bit of a breeze. Hopefully everyone’s chicks grew out of it like others have said and recovered.

This is an old post, but I am having the same issues! I brought 3 4-week old chicks outside for the first time and within a few minutes, they started sneezing! They are just on untreated grass outside.
